1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information when you use LeetCopilot:

• User-provided content: Code snippets, problem statements, test cases, and prompts you enter in the extension.
• LeetCode session cookies (optional): If you enable the "LeetCode Sync" setting, we access your LeetCode session cookie solely to retrieve your problem submission history.
• Authentication data: When signing in with Google or GitHub via Supabase, we collect the necessary OAuth tokens for authentication.
• Usage data: Basic logs such as error reports, feature usage, and timestamps, used for debugging and improving the extension.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information strictly to provide and improve the core functionality of LeetCopilot:

• To generate explanations, hints, and code reviews using AI.
• To fetch your submission history from LeetCode (if authorized).
• To authenticate your account.
• To monitor service performance, prevent abuse, and improve features.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Cookies and LeetCode Session

When you enable the "LeetCode Sync" feature, we access your LeetCode session cookie with the following important clarifications:

• Read-only access: We use the session cookie solely to retrieve your submission history for educational purposes.
• No account actions: We do NOT use session cookies to perform actions on behalf of you (like posting, modifying, or submitting solutions to your account).
• No third-party sharing: We DO NOT share your cookie with third parties; it's only used for read-access of submissions within our secure environment.
• User control: You can disable LeetCode Sync at any time through the extension settings, which immediately stops all cookie access.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

• AI Providers: User prompts and code snippets may be sent to third-party Large Language Model (LLM) APIs (e.g., Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic) solely for generating responses.
• Supabase: Used for authentication and database hosting.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and associated records until you request deletion or until it is no longer needed to provide the service. At this time, we do not automatically delete account data after a fixed period. However, you may contact us at support@leetcopilot.dev to request deletion of your account and related records, and we will process such requests within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Security

• All communication is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
• Sensitive information (such as OAuth tokens) is stored securely with Supabase.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to or deletion of your personal data.
• Withdraw your consent to optional features (e.g., cookie access for submission history).

Important information about LeetCopilot's educational nature:

• Your responsibility: You are responsible for verifying the correctness of any suggestions, explanations, or code provided by LeetCopilot before using them in your solutions.
• Learning tool: LeetCopilot is designed to enhance your learning experience, not to replace your own problem-solving skills and understanding.

9. Children's Privacy

LeetCopilot is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
